마늘

perfume for humanity.

an insanity of a 4 day weekend.

again.

a quick recap for my own sanity:

thurs: kaplan, tutoring, kaplan, jumak, jujubees
fri: tutoring, gym, church, parisB, jumak
sat: gilroy garlic festival!, book club discussion at N8's, swimming at izzy's, borders for veg-out, hoopla @ izzy's (although i wasn't involved too much... hehehehehe sorry guys)
sun: dawn service, regular service, pat bing soo at ParisB's w/ GY & YW, evening service, and finally... HOME.

ok, so it seems that...

1. i was on el camino wayyy too much this weekend; although, admittedly, the yogurt soju @ juju's, hite pints @ Jumak, and bingsoo @ PBs... ALL W/ AMAZING COMPANY = totally worth it.

2. the money just DRAINED. and i can't even whine about since it's totally my fault.

3. garlic festival! we finally went this year! and it was... fun! and excruciatingly hot. tons of people and FOR FUTURE REFERENCE, DON'T WEAR FLIPFLOPS or you're end up like Robert Downey Jr in the new "Tropic" movie... um, tons of garlic available. Garlic Pistachio ice cream is actually pretty good... the flavor of garlic isn't overwhelming like it is if you were to bit e into a clove... it's more of a subtle aftertaste... there wasn't much to do besides eat and loiter around, listening to live bands cover songs by any artist from Beyonce to Bon Jovie to Madonna... there is a lot of arts and crafts booths...but in that sticky sun with all that yummy garlic breath, you're not gonna end up staying there longer than half a day... 12 bux for admission plus a whopping 30 bux or so for food and beer makes it altogether not as worth it? but still really fun if you're going with a bunch of people who are laughing at the stupidest shit w/ you the entire time. :)

4. omgoodness, there was so much church today. it was a one day boonghey~ (hahaah remember that KEC girls?) an the pastor had a really soothing voice that went on for literally an hour plus, each session... um, january lim = "28 days later" main zombie during dawn service. and then, regular service...some quality fellowship with some quality friends... (totally needed powerup there) and then... night service...after which, ironically, there were roll cakes from PBs to snack on.

and now... it's almost 11 pm and it's back to the Kaplan grind. I end my SAT boot camp in Almaden this week the SAME time as I end my San Jose Kap class... boo. :( one of my girls is scoring a 2040 on her SAT Diags and it's definitely giving me a power trip. i'll miss the high. my next class is in milpitas; i get a short mini - break during which i hope to take a trip down to LA and get my hair did~~~ wooooot!

as for my infatuation, I'm starting to phase out of it...surely, there are better ways to spend my time and money than the way i've been the past week... i'm going to try to take things slow... one moment, one discovery at a time. i don't know anything beyond right now... so there's no need to worry about it. things always have a way of working out= GOD.

i'm off to pass out n...
