The Dark Knight

no worries about spoilers here. i'll keep it short:

30 minutes too long but absolutely mind-blowing. expect a lot more and you'll still won't be disappointed.

a FABULOUS WEEKEND. yet again. helped me chase them blues away! :)

i love the Stanford Theater. Watching classics in their original prints, surrounded by viewers just discovering or reclaiming their original delight, in a place fit to be called a movie palace, accompanied by the blaring glory of an actual organ. "Dancing in the Dark" never seemed more beautiful than it did on that screen.

friday night was an interesting time @ Mr. Smith's that could be catergorized alternately between extremely crowded with lots of (cute) white guys/asian guys/veryfast bartenders doling out VERY strong vodka tonics-- and extremely steamy hot sauna of a dance floor downstairs/dj spinning interesting mix of 80s and today's mainstream. remind us to never give out rides to guys we just met even if they are from Lynbrook.

saturday... sigh* beautiful. and it started with Pho. got into gear @ pally (of course, it's never a complete weekend without pally involved) where Fred, Cyd, allen and I rocked the town, then met up with Izzy and Nated0gg to fall in love with the Dark Knight....(NEEDED MORE HALF NUDE CHRISTIAN BALE SCENES DAMNIT!) ...ended with my new "book club" at Izzy's pad... where all HOOPLA broke lose. lots of stella artois, chips and salsa, and passing out with too little sleep. oh and WE'RE ACTUALLY DOING THIS WHOLE BOOK CLUB! YAY!~

sunday... i don't know how i manage to get up on sundays, but i do.... and usually, to surround myself with a myriad of church activities and food. but today, i got to catch up with Jen Kim as a bonus. what a payoff :)

spontaneity was the name of the game this weekend. and --$. but seriously, i need to stop recharging on sleep during the weekDAYS as opposed to the weekends.

and i need to stop giving out my number. thanks.

but hey, i'm actually not complaining. too much. ;)
