... AN AWESOME WEEKEND.

so. episode 3 in the secret lives of the book - clubbers.

OH, insert regular cameo: OUSI LI / special guest star: JENN Walla Chung.

today, we think it's going to be a bit more chill than yesterday... it is afterall, a worknight and the Lord's day (God forbid we have fun or spend money or eat tons on the SABBATH!) ...

1. allen jenn "O" and "J" gather together for a pat bing soo fest at Paris Baguette... there, we (surprise!) talk about marriage and ask each other, "so, really, are you happy?" and try to avoid talking about food but suck at it... and then while reliving the previous night's excitement of jumping (or attempting to jump, courtesy of manly castrated men) the car, allen's voice reaches a decibel level that drives everyone else out of the bakery. "oh wait, why am i talking so loud?" HAHAHAHAHA.

2. the face shop. where i discover my laughter wrinkle...ON MY NOSE. Jenn and I decide that everytime i laugh, i will hold down my nose with my hand to prevent me from scrunching it and exacerbating my premature aging. and of course, out of hte three of us, jenn, allen, and I, allen's the only one that buys face wash. :)

3. Cafe Aroma. MORE FOOD. and entrances by cast regulars: Nathan and Izzy. Props to Izz for having driven up from san jose to milpitas, only to join us again in san jose (YOU PULLED A PB JAN moment!). Of course we talk about nothing important before we head towards Krung Thai. I mean Trung Kai. or is it Krung Kai?

4. Not without a hitch. there's a bit of miscommunication and the two cars that leave end up at two different locations of the restuarants that are a mere 3 blocks apart from one another. (WHY?!) "Do you guys wanna come here?" "did you guys leave the car yet?" "wait, so are we going over there?" "NO NO DON'T LEAVE, WE'RE GOING THERE WE'RE GOING THERE!" folks, we're at a 10, lets lower that to a 3. thanks.

5. FINALLY there... and ordering is surprisingly easy for a bunch of passive submissive people, though to be frank, O and J are not so passive and Jenn wasn't shy enough to hide her apparent confusion over the "acid vs base" soup. The waitress there who takes are order is stern and reminds me of an even more stoic mama cheng. however, her discipline doesn't keep us from laughing at the MOST BRILLIANT MOMENT EVER. Ok, so N8 cracks a lame joke that he thinks no one heard and is therefore off hte hook. i tell him, "yo, everyone heard you anyway." *chuckle chuckle* and he retorts, "except Ousi!" all look at Ousi who indeed as a puzzled look in the face. *laugh laugh*. 10 minutes later. N8 makes another lame crack and again we remind him that we heard him loudly and clearly. and he retorts, "well, not Ousi!" ...slo mo, entire group looks towards Ousi who is... well... in her words, "what? I'm just sucking my lower lip." Jan takes this great moment to say, "that's what she said!" and then allen, the king of all dirty innuendos, comes up with, "which lower lip?" GLORIOUS. COLLECTIVE GROUP HYPOTHETICAL BUT REAL HIGH FIVE!

still laughing... ok ok.
the waitress who collects our bill can't do math and insists on collecting a penny we were missing. UM, THAT GIVES IT A STARTING VALUE OF LESS THAN OR EQUAL TO 3 ON THE YELP SCALE.

6. Allen is claiming that he should drive to Sac now. and of course, like hte loving caring bunch we are, we GUILT him into rolling around hte parking lot screaming "noo!!!!" before "FINE! LETS GO!!!" our guilt method? "GUILT TRIP. AL-LEN. STAY HERE!"

7. Hookah bar. where an eerily old looking guy who's hte same age as us gives me free bubblegum. we mellow out. blow shot gun puffs at eachother.... talk about provoking topics...and revel in the glow of nathan's socks under the blacklight. Watermelon hooka tastes rather artificial and heavy (however, better draw).. . hte jasmine is lighter and mintier, although hindered by the sucky ass disconnected sucking thing.

8. and hten, off to Brits... where we watch the event finals for the olympic womens floor routine... SHAWN JOHNSON ROBBED AGAIN. SUCH HATERS! oh and Photo hunt. quiteeee addictive i must say. AVHAAAT????? = high champions again!

9. back to Cafe Aroma to get our cars...final hugs.... and then...

10. we pop a squat. at Paris Baguette. Fitting isn't it? and talking to mr sajang made me only more appreciative of my very own, AWESOME, LEGEN-DAIRY, book club. as someone wise, named izzy, once said, on hte drive back to my house, timing is key. and in hte grander schemer of things, this is just the beginning...

can i get one last high 5?

....

n~~~ice.
